AA Minor League (Coach pitch)
AA Minor League Softball is for participants 6-8 years old.
The diamond has 60-foot base paths.
The AA division is instructional in nature. Players learn the fundamentals skills of softball and are introduced to the basic rules of the game. AA players play coach-pitched games throughout the year (however it is recommended to switch from live coach pitching to the tee after 5-7 pitches to keep the game moving and to maintain the hitter’s confidence)
AAA Minor League
AAA Minor League Softball is for participants 9-10 years old.
The diamond has 60-foot base paths and a 35-foot pitching distance.
All games are kid pitch, all games are played following Little League Sotball rules with some ground-rule exceptions, and games are called by junior umpires. New skills are taught and developed as the season progresses to prepare players for tournament play.
At this level, All Stars are selected by coaches for additional play in competitive postseason tournaments.
Little League (Major Division)
The Little League Softball® division (sometimes known as the Major Division) is for players ages 11-12.
The field uses a 60-foot diamond and a 40-foot pitching distance.
At the Little League level, all games are kid pitch, all games are played following Little League rules, and all games are called by a professional umpire.
At this level, All Stars are selected by coaches for additional play in competitive postseason tournaments.
Junior Division
The Junior League Softball division is a program for players ages 12-14.
The field uses a 60-foot diamond and 43-foot pitching distance.
Senior Division
The Senior League Softball Division is for girls 15-16 years old.
The field uses a 60-foot diamond and 43-foot pitching distance.
